The first Oklahoma A&M College Band was organized in 1905 by an A&M student. Originally, only men were allowed to play in the band. It wasn't until 1936 where women were really in the concert band. How would there be a female founder if women weren't allowed to be in the band during the founding of Kappa Kappa Psi?
