Women know that there is something unique about friendships with other women. Our female friends hold a special place in our hearts and need to know what they mean to us. In 1999, Kappa Delta created National Women's Friendship Day for women everywhere to celebrate those special people in our lives. Every third Sunday in September is set aside as a day to remember the women we call friends. Women are encouraged to remember their friends on this day by sending cards, balloons or flowers, planning an outing or making a phone call. Special events are also held on college campuses and in communities nationwide in honor of this day.

I don't know if we did anything last year because my school starts around the fourth week of September. it seems like some people do stuff, but I really don't know.
