What makes these women think that they "have to" say "I love you" to Luke, in order to stay on the show? Luke does seem like a genuine guy and to be honest, it is hard to believe he would have that hard of a time finding a girl. It is a sad/ harsh reality that men can be ANY size and still get a cute girl, but girls aren't always that lucky.
I think heavy-set guys have it easier than heavy-set girls because lots of girls like guys with meat on their bones. I know that I am particularly into heavier guys (ambitious and successful-but, heavier) who can make me laugh. I would have no problem dating a heavier guy, but not all guys feel that way about girls. I wish they would stop putting it out there that these girls were the joke of their high school because high school is OVER! Move on!
When they did the prom, they assumed that these girls all didn't go. I guess it bugs me that we are supposed to believe that ALL of these girls had a bad childhood because of their weight. Who hasn't been picked on in elementary, junior high or high school for something? Even the most beautiful girls and most athletic guys were laughed about (probably behind their backs) regarding being "sluts" or "stupid jocks"...I think it is safe to say that college is a much better time than high school because you can re-invent yourself. These women need to realize that when they go to their 10 year reunion/ 20 year reunion...it won't be about how fat they looked in gym class-it will be about how successful or disappointing their lives are.
Why don't people realize that? When I go back to my high school reunion-I'm not looking to see who was the most popular or who was the poor kid...I care about what they have done SINCE high school, to make a difference in the world. They keep talking about how these girls were treated in high school...STOP IT!
