I feel like there was a different shoe trend every year....

- Freshmen year there was the Steve Madden gym shoe platforms... although those actually started in 8th grade at my school...i hope someone knows what i'm talking about, i can't find a picture!!
- Sophomore year came the Birkenstocks
- Junior year at my school those plain but brightly colored New Balances & Saucony's became really popular for some reason
- I'm can't think of what the shoe trend was senior year....
- Northfaces blew up during this time
- I remember thinking track jackets were really cool like sophomore year
- Those super glittery purses/bags that were just covered in sequins
- Everyone at my high school used pre-wrap, that stuff you use in like bandaging, as headbands when they were wearing a pony tail to keep stray hairs in place
- Old Navy flip flops, although thats still popular...
- Side bangs!!
- Abercrombie & Hollister polos

i know there's tons more but i cant think of any...

I was in high school from 00-04, but many of the same styles were around:

I totally remember the polos...I had imitation ones from old navy!
Northfaces were not as huge in Florida, but track like jackets were.
The Old Navy flip flops were huge, and they still are!
I remember some wearing some ugly sweater tank tops..I don't know what I was thinking! lol!

I really don't remember too much what the fashion was. I feel like fashion in the late 90s wasn't all that distinctive...at least not the way it was in the 80s or even early 90s.

I do remember:

- Hemp necklaces
- Platform strappy shoes
- Dark, matte lipstick
- Plaid (during my first year of HS)
- Shirts with thick horizontal stripes...it seems that my friends and me are wearing this type of shirt in a ton of photos I have from HS
- Converse sneakers

I completely forgot about those! Those were really popular my freshman/sophomore year in college. I remember double knotting all of my strings because there was always a drunk fraternity guy at every social who loved to pull the string on the girls' tops......

oh my goodness i remember almost all of that except using prewrap to keep stray hairs in place.

-it was either sperry's, doc martins, birkenstocks, or wallabe's were the shoe of choice
-rainbow sandals were THE summer flip flop staple
-north face or columbia fleece jackets
-EVERYONE had an ll bean bookbag... the classic 2 pocket not the newer one that they sell as a college bookbag
-layering started to get popular again
-every girl either wore love spell or dream angels heavenly
-mismatching clothes but keeping within the same color started getting big my senior year
-ballet flats, skinny jeans, and button downs... oh my that was huge
-the hairstyle for all 4 years really was long, layered, and having side bangs (http://www.hrbangs.com/jessica-alba-side-bangs.jpg)

that's all i can remember really.
