I was in hs from 1990-1994-
And the things that were popular that I remember were
-- Hypercolor t-shirts (and the matching socks!)
-- Dooney and Bourke All Weather Leather Purses
-- Birkenstocks
-- Anything Ralph Lauren

This is the same for me as well ('89 - '93) although I would add:

-Pepe jeans
-Nautica anything
-Cross Colours
-Jansport backpacks

Hypercolor! That's what they were called. I remember girls with one color on their butts and another on the rest of their clothes after sitting in class for an hour...classy! My sister's senior class t-shirt included a phrase in hypercolor, but the only problem is that it was mispelled!!

At my school, no would would be caught dead with a Jansport backpack...we all had Eastpak!
