there's a lot of us who were in hs from 93-97. And now we're all turning 30!

Which is CRAZY, although I'm loving it.

I remember the girls being really into stretch jeans and slouch socks. Bright colors came back. Baggy jeans and timberlands. Not much has changed, except now boys are wearing "skinny" jeans, but the thugs are still wearing baggy jeans.

Early/mid 80s - the same things AGDee mentioned plus:

-Long sleeve surfer t-shirts from Ron Jon or some other surf shop
-T shirts with thermals under them (for the stoner jocks [no, this is not an oxymoron])
-Prom and bridesmaid dresses with giant crinolines or hoops - came in after Princess Di's wedding (antidote to the years of Little House on the Prairie looking dresses)

I think Violet & KnightShadow pretty well covered my HS years ... Class of 2002 was a good time.

I went to high school 1999-2003, so these were the rage:

Plus....

*I forgot what it was called, but it's those jeans where the bottoms looked like the threading was coming off (i don't wanna say fringe...forgot what's its called)

*Flare jeans were the rage! No bootcut, no straightleg, it had to be low-rise flare jeans.

*It was popular here to have not bangs, but 2 little pieces of hair hanging down. You had to have a part in the middle, and then take 2 little pieces from each side of the part and right where your forehead is. My mom said it looked like we had antennas.

*K-Swiss

*Shirts with the sayings on them

*Velour sweatpants. You had to had the jacket and the pants that matched, and they had to be tightly fitted.

*gym/cheer type shorts with the tops folded down. You had to be able to see the white band, and the tag. lol

*Puka shells for the guys

*Jansport backpacks.

I remember that hairstyle! When I was in 7th grade my mom wouldn't let me have them, so I cut them myself and got grounded.

And who could forget soffee shorts? I still have mine!

An even older person here! 1966-1970 - Bobbie Brooks cardigan sweaters with matching A-line skirts and knee socks.....similar outfits by John Meyer...Ladybug blouses with round "Peter Pan" collars in cute prints, with matching skirts....boys wore blue jeans rolled up at the ankle, with buttoned shirts...T shirts were strictly underwear...black horn-rimmed glasses. The rich girls were beginning to get contacts.

And VERY few kids had a car. Only the rich ones, or the poor ones who could work on it themselves.

Nike Shox were blowing up. Every basketball team in the area had them, though by about my junior year our basketball team managed to throw that trend due to them being really uncomfortable, tearing up easily, and injury prone.

LiveStrong bands.

Pink was starting to come around for the straight guy.

Trucker Hats - utterly horrible.

Capri Pants for girls.

Shag hairstyles

No socks, or no show socks

guys started shaving their legs (not sure if this one didn't start earlier)

hoodies

Those are the ones I can really remember, I'm sure I'm leaving some things out.

1996-2000:

Doc Martin's

Addidas

Phat laces for addidas was a trend that came later

phat jeans/pants made by kikwear and caffeen

knowing what "phat" really meant before it going all over the media

skinny neck ties

sauconys

fleeces for jackets, with the half zip in the front

button down shirts with only one or two buttons closed and the sleves half way rolled up

those hemp rope necklace things with various semi-precisous gems attached

boxer briefs became popular as the male version of the sports bra

layers! people would have four or five different shirts on at a time. All from the same store, otherwise it didn't match.

that's about all I can remember
