I think about this ALL the time with families of multiples!

What happens when all of your teens want cell phones, cars, cool clothes, spending money, etc? I mean one teen saying "Mom can I have $20 to go to a movie?" is cool, but $20 x 6 really adds up.

Don't even get me started on college for that many kids.

I know that Jon and Kate Gosselin have said that because of the TV show, their books and speaking tours, they'll probably be able to send all 8 of their kids to college.

She'd better get to pitching a TV show and hope someone likes the idea, lol.

What normal human being would ADMIT that on network TV?

I believe the interview said she was maxed out of student loans. She already owes more than $50,000.

Unless I had a home with a mortgage, I would not be able to sleep at night if I owed ANYONE 50,000! Even if you can consolidate it

And you have to PAY LOANS BACK. Even if this woman lands a job that makes $60K a year right out of school (not likely?) she is going to have one hell of a time living on that for her kids AND paying back all those loans.

Nice.

I believe she's already asked Medi-Cal (the California Health insurance system) to pay the NICU tab for the 8-babies.

I don't think she's maxed out if she owes $50K. I have friends who are leaving medical school and law school with debt in the 6 figures.

California is a mess. I think it's just about to overtake Florida in the Crazy State contest.

Somehow, I don't think a show is an option for her. Who'd watch? Not me. And who would want their product associated with what promises to be a spectacular train wreck?

Just imagine how far 20 dollars will go 10 years from now when the first set reach puberty...heh!

Here is my question: What if out of all 14 of these kids NONE of them do anything spectacular with their lives or worse yet, repeat the mistakes of their mother?

Not that I wish ill upon them, but just the idea of having kids is to leave a part of yourself here after you are gone and hoping that they improve upon what you gave while you were here.

It's just something to think if none of these children wind up ill equipped to live up to a good potential due to their mom's obsession.

...maybe I am thinking too far out left field.

I will admit that I feel badly for the babies - especially the two who seem to have something wrong with their eyes.

As for the one who someone thought was named McCai - it looks more like Micah to me. With so many other minor prophets' names, it would fit in - but that font has to go!
