She is not Angelina Jolie. Angie can afford to take care of a village of kids. She earns money. This chick can not take care of 14 kids.

DS: not everyone has kids for that reason. Exhibit A: this crazy lady. She wanted something to fill up some "hole" she had as an only child. GET A DOG!! GET A JOB WORKING AT A DAYCARE!!!

I love that she thinks that she won't be using tax payer money for her excessive breeding, but Kaiser is applying for reimbursement through Medi-Cal for the NICU stay of the octuplets. Each child's medical treatment will cost upwards of 1 million dollars. She's using more public funding than any welfare mom in the country! I also found an amusing picture of her fertility doctor ultrasounding her in 2006.http://news.aol.com/article/octuplet...suleman/328104 Any person with a little knowledge about ultrasound knows that he's using a vaginal probe on her abdomen. No one would ever use that probe for what he is doing. What an idiot!

He obviously doesn't know what he is doing...I find it odd considering his profession. Not all doctors know what a vag probe is, but I would expect ALL OB-GYNs to know!

You know how she says she's going to "go back to school" as though that will take care of everything?

1) Who is going to watch those kids while she's at school? and

Yeah, they're not a "one babysitter" job, that's for sure.

I babysat alot in undergrad, and I think my max was 4.

Being pregnant seems to be her "addiction" of choice, like those who have any other type of addiction. However, in this case, it seems that her addiction leads to children that can neither fend, care, or be cared for themselves.
This is a sad state of affairs. How this woman would think that others wouldn't have "noticed" her actions and her inactions, I don't know. She needs to go into a psychiatric hospital for mental health evaluation and her children need further care.
It's obvious that the grandparents are at an end as to how much more they can take or to how much more they can do for themselves or the children.
It's unfortunate that her "fix" was the desire to get pregnant, but at this point, the state is going to have to be able and willing to step in.

I saw a news source that 2 of the kids were named Malia and Makai - Hawaiian names. The proper spelling of the kids' names are here:

A husband and wife team from LA set this up for the psycho mom. Apparently they're working for free. While they're taking online donations, the People article clearly states that she's getting federal assistance.

EXACTLY.

Some people shop excessively, drink excessively, or use drugs to try and "fix" their issues (loneliness and such).

She has babies.

The difference is that with the above, you're only hurting yourself. When you bring kids into the world, you have the potential to damage them as well.

I might have misread it... Ann said something like "So you're maxed out on student loans and you are still having kids?" (It's in the MSNBC article ... she used "maxed out") She might not have met 'maxed out' literally?

So does this mean she is getting her own bailout plan??
