Seriously though - the fact that some posters agree with you doesn't make the opinion more palatable to the rest of us. Read some of the garbage that is posted in the comments sections of sites ranging from espn.com to any number of newspapers. No one is saying you're alone in your opinion, DS; they're just saying that they disagree, no matter how many people tend to share your sentiments.
I'll give you this - you've managed to unite a group of people who, in some cases, have widely divergent political opinions. I think you've done more in this thread to unite liberals and conservatives than anyone else on GC.

Sigh ...that is what I have been trying to say all along.
Come on, when have you known me to flip on a topic just to please others?
When have you known me to try to be 'palatable' to others?
That's not what I do.
I expressed my opinion on this matter, caught flak and to a certain point, I think I may have said some things that others may not have willingly voiced because of the reactions involved.
I guess that makes me a bad person, eh?
Because I express my disdain makes me wrong?
No.
Wrong is keeping silent on something I know I strongly for or against.
Wrong is following along with the 'rah rah' chorus when I know I feel otherwise.
Wrong is changing my mind just because I listen to the influence of others and I want to look 'cool' or 'right' in their eyes.
If some of you hate what was said or hate me for what I said, that's cool, I promise you I won't change and I can promise you that more will come and not just from me but from anyone that you may have met in life that may be opposed to how you feel on a particular topic.
The only thing that anyone can do when faced with that is to take it in and learn from it and store it for future use.

Me? Some days I simply enjoy rattling your cage.
(Hint: Calling folks retarded or FUCKED UP as you put it because their emotions don't match yours or telling someone exactly how pissed off you are at thier opinions just makes it even easier and might be a sign that you have too much vested in a conversation over some shyte that really doesn't affect you and thus may be a sign for you to exit.)

You aren't rattling anything... I'm not sure why you would think that. Now you come off as condescending. None of this makes me "mad" or "rattles my cage," I just don't see where you're coming from with your posts. You never really explain your point, you just say some sort of catchphrase and then change the subject whenever somebody asks you a question.

Hey Haters!!! Y'all know who you are. And I am back! Just as cryptic as I wannabe!!!
Let me make this clear. I agree with Michael Savage, I only want to be hearing about Iraq when there is 1000 degrees and rising. Make NO mistake with that.
Now I let me call this dude in purchasing $50 dollars worth of circus tickets...

And yet you keep coming back.
Condensed version...
Fuck Bush...sorry the shoe missed.
Got it yet?
Son I made my points quite clear on this topic a ways back...what isn't clear to you here?
But I'm the retard.

Do I have to get out the RC Challenge (TM pending) again, or will you cut the condescension and act like an adult?

I agree with Olbermann it would be assault against the President if it was a 5 inch heel worn by a 7 foot trannie...
Best dayum #1 on the Olbermann show I have seen yet!

You thought I was being condescending?
wow.
I wasn't
You know what...let's call this done and move on because it's obvious we aren't going to agree or see eye to eye on this matter regardless of how I attempt to clarify my point.

Classic and so well deserved. The Bushwacker dodging and ducking the truth like he's done for the last eight years. George Bush has been and will go down in history as an insult to the American Presidency. Every Republican and "born againer" alive who voted for him should feel ashamed and embarrassed for allowing this sorry excuse for a President the opportunity to turn our country into an international and domestic "train wreck".

Ya know what's really sad... all of those Democrats who say this, they still couldn't find a candidate better than him who could beat him in 2004.

In regards to this, when you think about how many seriously intelligent, sensible, and dynamic people there are in this country, it makes you wonder about the four "chosen" who ran for President & Vice President of the two major parties this year.

Very true. I was able to vote in 2004 and 2008 and I was fairly knowledgeable about the 2000 election and the candidates running. But in those 8 years, when it's come down to the final 4, I've never been truly excited and completely comfortable in choosing one person over another to win the presidency.

I noticed that too. For all the preparation the SS puts into making sure the president is safe from bombs, assassination, terrorist attacks, etc, they took forever to respond to a measly pair of shoes.
I don't like Bush. I think he is definitely the worst president I have seen in my lifetime, but I don't think anyone should be throwing shoes at him. Above all else I think people should show some respect for the high office, even if they don't like him.
