Rowan Unrecognized Greek Orgs

The weird thing about Rowan is that some of the NPCs are recogized and others are not, if I remember correctly.

Are the NPCs at the University of Texas recognized by the university? I thought I remembered that they were not.

If I recall correctly from my Jersey days, the Rowan "kicked" several NPC chapters off campus and NPC also withdrew the chapters' charters. The disclaimer on their website is more of a warning that nationals (at least in the NPC, don't know about IFC) don't recognize this chapter and niether does the college so join at your own risk.
Like at other colleges in Jersey, and I'm sure other places around the country, chapters that left under, shall we say less than ideal conditions (and I don't mean numbers) have a habit of not dying but rather sticking around. The people "initiated" wear letters frequently but are not official members of the organization. We had quite a few on my campus in my collegian days.
I'm thinking that is the case here, local Panhel doesn't recognize the chapter, EO doesn't recognize the chapter, and the college doesn't recognize the chapter, but there are woman going around calling themselves XYZ.

It appears from the DKE national website that the chapter at Rowan is recognized by DKE. Same for Theta Chi. Kappa Sigma does not list a chapter at Rowan, and Phi Kappa Sigma lists their Rowan chapter as "inactive."
