I noticed the same thing. Sen. Obama mentioned McCain and there was a smattering of polite applause and several crowd shots of groups of Obama supporters clearly looking like they did not care to clap (and didn't).
Big deal on both sides. As alphagamzetagam pointed out, people are human. They're just doing what they feel in the moment. Neither side should be painted with a broad brush based on the reactions of the TV crowds in highly-emotional moments.

There really is not much else left to say. After I was done (running around the house and tearing through the front yard in glee). I came in side, fell down and cried. I have no voice. My throat is raw from screaming. But I'm so damn happy. See you at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue President Obama!

Honestly - could we stop this? Please? I feel like this has gotten to the point of ridiculousness. When people were upset about Bush being elected President, it was readily accepted. Just because you support Obama, please don't sit there and judge those who aren't quite so happy. Some of us supported the other candidate, and some of the Obama supporters were the same Kerry and Gore supporters telling us how they would leave the country if Bush was elected. It happens every election, and you should respect other people's views the same way some of us respected the views of Kerry and Gore voters.
Honestly, let's just have respect for the fact that there is a difference of opinion. Not everyone is thrilled about Obama being elected. It's ok - it shouldn't take away from your joy about your candidate being elected.

Haha, DS, I'm actually stunned - I did not see that coming. Whoa.
Also, I hate to pull the Popeye, but apparently I am what I am. Unreal.
The music here to the "outro" is a little overwrought, but I don't blame them - I'd bask/revel and let the crowd go apeshit too, I guess. Seriously, Obama's win wasn't because McCain sucked or he picked a bad VP or because he ran a negative campaign - those were all the result of Obama's campaign. He won because he motivated the electorate like no one since maybe JFK - it's really a phenomenon, and it'll be interesting to see whether the outgoing results agree with the fervor coming in. It's definitely an exciting and bizarre time for Americans.

Ksig...ok...but check it...there were some people that was saying that, or....talking about starting a riot...or....God forbid, I just saw somebody talking about starting a militia to'take his country back' so I am saying...if you (empirically speaking) feel that way...do us the fave....please.
Sorry to say but there are indeed some sore @ssed losers out there.

At the same time, is it really necessary for an Obama supporter to say "I just quit my job so YOU PEOPLE can share the wealth!"
Classy. Way to rub it in.
Congrats Obama! I sincerely hope he's not a politician that's "all talk." I expect great things from him
