Election 2008 and the State of America by the numbers

By the numbers:

56% Disagree with Obama’s Comments on Small Town America

Bush Job Approval at 35%

62% Expect Obama to Win Democratic Nomination

Ohio: McCain Retains Lead Over Both Democrats

47% Give Congress Poor Rating, 13% Say Good or Excellent

North Carolina: McCain 47% Obama 47%

Pennsylvania: Clinton 48% Obama 43%

64% Say American Society Fair and Decent

37% Say African-Americans Face More Discrimination than Women

Go to http://www.rasmussenreports.com/ to see the detailed reports on the actual stats.

Does anyone here agree or disagree with the numbers?

Why?

What do you feel differently on?

I disagree with North Carolina. Not that the numbers are wrong, but NC is a tease for liberals. Sometimes you see similar numbers from Tennessee (though not right now). Long history of this with the mountain south.

I glanced in at one of the surveys they did. It says they called people at night, but it doesn't specify how old these people are, so who knows what segment of the population we're getting here. These could all be the over 55 year old crowd.

I don't trust most polls - unless they specify who they asked, and how they asked the question.

But here's a question for you - are there really Democrats who are still on the fence about which candidate they support? I can't imagine anyone hasn't made up his/her mind, but I keep hearing about undecided Democrats. Is there such an animal?

Yes, those of us who preferred Edwards over either of the current candidates are undecided. I have an equal number of pros and cons for each. Fortunately, my vote doesn't count for anything anyway, so it doesn't really matter!

What is even more frightening is that there will be millions of Americans, in OCTOBER, who have no idea who they will vote for.

And millions who won't bother to vote at all.

People don't have to decide until they arrive at the poll.
