Speaking as the mom of a PNM who went through recruitment twice...the first time with lots and lots of tears and the second time with great smiles as she found a home, I swear I cried more than her...don't forget about your mom! Yes, I may have gotten less sleep than her...but it's only because I love her so much that I want the very best for her and feel her pain so much more but also felt her delight to the tips of my toes!
It's hard as a mom - but I wouldn't have it any other way. Can you tell I adore my daughter?? There's no better feeling in the world than when you see your children succeed - whether in sorority recruitment, getting a job or finding the love of their life. That's what it's all about...
