Why was the thread asking why LadyLonghorn's thread was moved moved?

^^^ I agree. You can take that up with DA and the other mods who apparently don't believe in "cleaning up" and reopening threads.

Personally I feel if the original thread was cleaned up after the hollywin comments the LL thread would have been perfectly fine.

i edited the above in order that i could agree with it. i have seen moderators just about defend and protect posters who any general poster would identify as a troll or sockpuppet. and permit them to hang around. but others seem to take charge and take care of matters like that. why?

Agreed. And on a positive note, a moderator took the initiative (don't know which one) in the Recruitment stories thread, deleted a handful of posts that were pretty heated, and made the thread workable and readable again. I honestly think that's what a majority of us would like to see. Not moving it to a mods only corner, not deleting the thread outright. Heck, I think a bunch of us wouldn't mind (and we've said this on the other thread) that we're not averse to having a thread locked on occasion. But not what has been happening lately.
