Yep, I'm the same way. We get small (in the 5s) earthquakes up here every once in a while, but I never feel them. I recall learning of several in high school that were a complete surprise to me. But then we had the 6.8 quake in 2001 and that was a whole 'nother ballgame. I've never felt something like that before...the ground felt like it was rolling in waves under our feet. And of course several of us at work did the exact opposite of what we had been taught all those years in school (duck, cover and hold) - we froze in hallways and just stood there, got in doorways, some ran outside!

I remembered something totally weird: a few days ago at work, I thought I overheard these girls say something about an earthquake. When I asked them "Wait, what about an earthquake?" they looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears. I guess I heard them wrong but HA then we had one a few days later.
