Teachers: the names you will never name your own kids

Maybe it is because I have been out of school for a few weeks, but I can't really recall all of the names I wouldn't want to name my own children.

Cameron is definately one of them. I have worked with too many Camerons with Autism.

Connie- because she the most terrible girl ever and she was in my class from K to 7th grade. Now I swim on a team with a wonderful woman named Connie, but I still can't get over the scars of elementary school!

Sidenote: my co-workers and I (preschool assessment team for special education) absolutely *dread* any students coming through screening with "A" and "J" names - typically, these kiddos turn out to be the ones we assess for autism spectrum disorder (including Aiden, Anthony, Jessalyn, Alexander, Joshua, Jeffery...and it goes on and on!)

I don't know if there's many "normal" names I'd avoid (the off-the-wall spellings just make it more difficult!), but when I *do* have children, I have to be more conscientious of the names already taken in my family - there's a number of cousins and nieces/nephews that are using up names I thought I'd use!

Now on the flip side, I wouldn't mind naming my kids the following names because these students were amazing little munchkins (I taught 1st and 3rd prior to this upcoming school year)....
