He came in the year when I taught 8th grade. The sad thing is, he was Flenzy Junior.
I'd also add to the list "creative" spelling of names. Any name. Jessyka. Rian (Ryan) and a few others that I can't think of right now. Equally annoying where the kids named after cities. I've had a Chicago and Cleveland. My mom once had a student who was either Orlando Cleveland or Cleveland Orlando. She could never remember which city came first.

If we're going to basic naming rules, these must be said!
1. Jennipher, Rebbekkah, Chrystyne, Tyffyny....people butcher complicated names, just let the simple ones stay simple. Y is not synonymous with I so let's not do it!
2. Blending names isn't always cool either. A girl's parents couldn't decided between Jessica or Erica, so they compromised with Jerica. Thelma and Linda should not become Thesslyn. Just decide on one. Your child's name shouldn't be comparable to Bennifer or Tomcat--sometimes it cute, but leave Hollywood in Hollywood!
3. Adding extra letters. "Shevon" is actually much easier than "Shehvaughn." Please.

There is a kid in my school named Cameron and you all would die if you saw the way it was spelled.
Boys
Jacob ( we had 3 in our school last year and one was spelled Jaycob)
Ethan
Ryan
Zach
Ezra ( or any name that starts with e. One year we had 2 ethans, ezra, and e.j. That was a fun year)
Michael
Gabriel
Sam
Kevin
Patrick
Thomas
Luke
Aston
Cody ( I just don't like this name)
Girls
Lucy
Catilyn
Caroline
Ella
Sarah
Casey( I've never really like this name either)
I also don't like parents who have 2 or more children and they have names that start with the same letter.
For example: Mia and Megan, Lucy and Lilly, Sierra, and Savannah, Eve, Eli,and Ethan

I hear you loud and clear on this one. Anytime I hear the name Cody, I think of some redneck woman screaming at the top of her lungs,
"CODY! DESTINY! (another hated name of mine) Y'ALL QUIT PLAYIN' ON THAT THAR SHEET METAL!"

Maybe it is because I have been out of school for a few weeks, but I can't really recall all of the names I wouldn't want to name my own children.
Cameron is definately one of them. I have worked with too many Camerons with Autism.
Connie- because she the most terrible girl ever and she was in my class from K to 7th grade. Now I swim on a team with a wonderful woman named Connie, but I still can't get over the scars of elementary school!

And everyone's been picked on by one. The Heathers should've been The Ashleys.

Sidenote: my co-workers and I (preschool assessment team for special education) absolutely *dread* any students coming through screening with "A" and "J" names - typically, these kiddos turn out to be the ones we assess for autism spectrum disorder (including Aiden, Anthony, Jessalyn, Alexander, Joshua, Jeffery...and it goes on and on!)
I don't know if there's many "normal" names I'd avoid (the off-the-wall spellings just make it more difficult!), but when I *do* have children, I have to be more conscientious of the names already taken in my family - there's a number of cousins and nieces/nephews that are using up names I thought I'd use!

Let's see names I would never use due to my teaching experience...
Nathan
Tyler
Abriona
The stories I could tell about these three would blow y'all away
Now on the flip side, I wouldn't mind naming my kids the following names because these students were amazing little munchkins (I taught 1st and 3rd prior to this upcoming school year)....
Jacqueline
Cody
Karla
Makyla
