Basically what fsuzeta said.

However, if you choose to disclose that information, some members might not feel comfortable inviting you in for membership. Sad to say, there are people out there who don't agree with homosexuality.

I just thought of two chapter sisters from when I used to advise. No one knew of their sexual orientation until their senior year when they admitted to everyone they were in a relationship. It was a bit awkward at first, but eventually we supported them. Anyway, they just moved to CA and got engaged...and I'm so very happy for them because they've come a long way!
