It's official, I'm going.
Any advice for going to other chapters other than not making an ass of myself?

That Phi Gam chapter is Old Row, there.
Make sure you're not a pledge.
That's all I can think of.

I'm not sure how the popped collar ever got associated with the Southern fraternity man.
You might wanna try to bring a date, if she's attractive. I don't know.

As others have noted, it was very popular in the 80s.

My kids have laughed at pictures of their dear old dad with his popped polo collar layered UNDER his RL OCBD.
Yeah, he was that cool in 1982.

Ok, define "short" shorts, please. I don't have a good visual in my mind at the moment. I'm picturing Jimmy Connor-type shortie tighty tennis shorts.
I assume (hope) you are just defining them compared to the long, baggy cargo-y type shorts, yes?
And I'm glad to read all 3 posts saying popping the collar is really not the thing (despite that LSU article). It's soooooo 80s (and sure, I did it), but I just saw a guy in the grocery store the other day with his collar flipped and thought it just looked silly. Polo shirt, flat collar, much better. Especially on grown men.
