And I'm glad to read all 3 posts saying popping the collar is really not the thing (despite that LSU article). It's soooooo 80s (and sure, I did it), but I just saw a guy in the grocery store the other day with his collar flipped and thought it just looked silly. Polo shirt, flat collar, much better. Especially on grown men.
The guys at W&L wear shorts that are quite short compared to what the majority of men in America wear. Yes, it's partially a contrast to cargo shorts, but they're also just.... shorter. Like several inches above the knee, whereas American men in general now wear shorts at the knee or even (ugh) below the knee. Certainly not like 80s style workout shorts. Sorry I don't have a reference picture.
