You shouldn't even get me started on this. I worked part of my way through college in the 60's as a radio disk jockey "playing the hits."

To the list above, I would add Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, all of the "trumpet bands" (Chicago, BS&T, The Buckinghams, etc.), plus the Righteous Brothers, Simon and Garfunkle and The Association.

I think that "Bridge Over Troubled Waters," is arguably one of the best produced recordings of all time.

On another BB we were discussing the best voices in rock history. I like Linda Ronstadt, and Gary Puckett. And who can overlook Elvis -- whether you like his music or not?

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

BTW, I assume by "All the Leaves are Brown," you mean "California Dreamin'"
