i realize schools do things differently... but to sororities there seriously give out bids after meeting random girls at fraternity parties?

... even if that is the case, you don't need to have the founders/greek alphabet memorized.

No, you would have had to attended a majority of there parties that they had held. You need to know these girls. You can't attend one of there parties, go to there bid night and expect a bid. Sorry. Should have cleared that up

I was just saying that the whole "day schedule of going to different houses and meeting the girls, and then putting your first choices on a bid" doesn't happen here.

I wish that did happen here, I would like that much better. It would be easier to get involved and meet more people.

Yes, at least the one that the OP is interested in.

My guess is that the school has little alumni advising support and little structure as a Panhellenic if a Greek Life Office even exists. They might not even know that an NPC Unanimous Agreement does not allow men to be at recruitment parties, or they do, and there's no local authority that cares to stop it from happening.

I believe most of the SUNY schools have Modified Recruitment. At least one I know of is totally Continuous Recruitment. They are like that because it is the best way for PNMs to stay in recruitment and learn about the sorority chapters. They probably had a formal recruitment at one point and it didn't work for them.

What exactly does that mean, Continuous Recruitment?
