We don't really have "recruitment" per say here. All the sororities do indeed hold parties and mixers with other fraternities so that you can go and meet the sisters. This usually lasts 2-3 weeks. Whatever sorority you relate to better, you'll find yourself attending more of THEIR parties. At the end of this, you'll attend that sororities "Bid Night" where you sign your bid. The next day, the sisters will come to your residence hall with flowers to tell you they accepted your bid. I've never really heard of anyone NOT receiving a bid the next day. And at the same time, I've never seen a pledge class with more then 10 people in it..

A little different I guess from the recruitment stories that I've read on here..
It is recruitment. It may not be formal recruitment, but it IS recruitment.

And FYI, per NPC Unanimous Agreements, no men are allowed at recruitment events.

Well I don't know, but that's where you would meet the sisters of a potential sorority you would like to join, at a mixer between that sorority and a fraternity, or at a OPEN party.

i realize schools do things differently... but to sororities there seriously give out bids after meeting random girls at fraternity parties?

... even if that is the case, you don't need to have the founders/greek alphabet memorized.

No, you would have had to attended a majority of there parties that they had held. You need to know these girls. You can't attend one of there parties, go to there bid night and expect a bid. Sorry. Should have cleared that up

I was just saying that the whole "day schedule of going to different houses and meeting the girls, and then putting your first choices on a bid" doesn't happen here.

I wish that did happen here, I would like that much better. It would be easier to get involved and meet more people.
