I was more interested in learning why people would choose to create a new forum for the purpose of holding each other's hands. I certainly recognize GC interactions can lead to real life interactions and have followed the stories told by people (including you) on GC.

I'm not too concerned about you as I get the impression that you have a solid grasp on reality. It's the GF proponents that really worry me.

I don't understand why people who prefer the format of the other site need to criticize GC on GC. If you don't like the snarky meanness here, and you have other options, it seems like you could happily spend your days there.

Or enjoy both sites for what they provide. Whatever makes you happy.

Hmm... I've never had anyone hold my hand online before. I'm curious and I would like to use your own words, why on earth do you care so much? The idea of a second forum isn't that odd, really. Every other type of community I frequent has at least two boards. If that sounds rude I don't mean it to, I'm just honestly curious.

And, not just directed towards preciousjeni, but to everyone: when you refer to "HPRL people", what does that mean? Because if I said "GC people", what would that mean? Can we really all be lumped in as one type of person just by the discussion board we frequent?

Aw, we don't mean YOU - I'm pretty sure it is fair to say that when we refer to HPRL people we mean those who come over here ONLY to criticize GC and go on how great HPRL is, and how it is snark-free, and they are just so superior to us . . . as they stir up drama, criticize posters here, insult and degrade - you get the picture.

You might mean regular or semi-regular GC posters. Not the silent readers or people who are just registered.

It's clear to see that the threads that are really exciting on here tend to have the same posters in them. That's not about type of person, since we don't know people beyond what they share, but about the tone of some posters on a certain board.
