Official GC Dictionary

I don't know about you all, but the residents of GC have shared a number of words and/or phrases that have found their way into my everyday vocabulary.

On another thread, Soror btb and I were trying to remember who coined the "le sigh" phrase. This gave me the idea of starting a GC Dictionary.

What are your favorite GC words/phrases? Who introduced us to them?

Talking

I know that she wasn't the first person to ever say this phrase, but Ideal was the first person I know to say "Boo-Hiss" (along with some other regulars of this board). Before GC, I'd never heard it before...Now it's part of my vocab

I'll try to remember more and come back later...

I am to blame for "le sigh" lol. But that was before you or btb's time Soror abaici so you wouldn't be expected to know, lol.

Y'all are too new!

But "trollquisha" is all Steeltrap's!

While it's not original GC lexicon, I had to adjust to the way yall call each other "heffa."

The first time I saw that I was like "Oh, isht, it's finna be a fight up in here."

...then I figured it was, albeit-twisted, a term of sisterly affection, most commonly used by melanin-enhanced females who dun been through some stuh.

...Steeltrap, does "______person" have copyright protection? Cause it's dun made its way to Ohio.
