I have to agree with aephi. On occasion, people do have a friend with an interesting story, me included. But I have never had a friend ask me to ask a question for them. Something smells fishy, and I think we know what it is. Kinda like when you get caught with something you are not suppossed to have and you were "just holding it for a friend"...

And to the OP, I would tell your "friend" would need to contact the HQs of both orgs, the one she "depledged" and the one she wants to join, to find out the official ruling. I'm pretty sure that would be the best course of action for you..."friend"...

Since she's (whoops, I mean "her friend") already de-pledged/disaffiliated, there's really no need to contact the first HQ. She needs to talk to someone from the organization she's trying to join.
