She was just telling you that you are too intense for no reason. It wasn't about you "getting down on the level of the folkseses" or whatever you responded.
Of course it's okay to be intense sometimes when others aren't, but do so in a way that we don't need an interpreter.

There is Irony here....
The irony of the KKK marching on Jena courthouse is the fact that they marched on a placed that was closed on a Federal holiday. Thus no one of importance, no judges, bailiffs, clerks, or police was there to hear them. Nor did they disrupt a normal workday with thier message. Furthermore, it estimated that between them and the counter protesters...it was only 200 people total....1/10 of those that went back in September. There were at least 2 incidents of arrests on a day meant for those who seek peace....
Go figure.
