Dear nikki1920,
This is probably my fourth year going and I enjoyed it a lot more this year than any other year.
First reason: I had a really fun running buddy, one of your sorors from Drexel.
Second reason: THEY HAD SUSHI!!!!!
Love,
Senusret I

Dear Shawty Lo,
Just man up, and tell T.I. you were just playing when you tried to diss him on wax. Not a good look!

Dear Mrs. soulfoodrestaurantlady,
I'm glad I went with the soul food urge today and stopped in your restaurant (is it a restaurant if there is no sit-down dining?) at lunch because that gave us to chance to talk. I agree, it is a big political season.
I didn't know that you had not voted since 1960 (Kennedy) but felt like you wanted to do so now. Because I had registration forms in my car (cause that's how I roll) I was glad to hook you up and drop your form at the Board of Elections on my way back to work. (See, there was a reason bigger than my craving for ribs for my stopping in.)
No, you didn't have to give me the free piece of pound cake. I enjoy helping people be a part of this process. But a brotha does appreciate it nonetheless. The cake was straight up bombastic.
I'll be back soon, because nobody can touch your dressing, but in the meantime, get your vote on.

Dear Leona,
That was AWESOME. I should've bought that a long time ago! Keep up the good work and, if you can do a concert this side of the pond, don't make it too expensive.
Dear Hair,
Thank you sooooo much for cooperating with me! You look beautiful (not that you didn't before, I'm just sayin'... )

John McCain,
You really need to take your grouchy, Metamucil drinking, Aricept taking, too short to sit in a chair, "I can get Bin Laden", behind home.
There is very little about you or that moose eating biddy that is presidential. Retain what little dignity you have and go back to Arizona. While you're there, enjoy a 6 pack like the rest of your base.

Mrs. Michelle Obama,
Your hair is flawless.
I am so glad that I have moved away from excessive chemical treatments and can honestly say to my awesome beautician, "I want Michelle Obama hair" with a straight face and she not laugh behind my head.

Dear Employment Jesus,
I am so disheartened right now. I am no longer a case manager due to budget cuts. Now I'm an on-call youth care worker. If the supervisor is feeling generous, I might get two days of work a week to chase kids all over the place and have them cuss me out.
I have flooded the city with my resume but have not gotten a single call. I've gone to Manpower and Kelly but have not gotten calls for work. I'm hitting the bookstores today to put in applications since I'm such a book fanatic and figure that I could at least make some money from my love of reading and knowledge. I'm even gonna see if I can get in at the post office for some holiday work. I'm pretty much willing to try anything (legal) to make some money because Hubby can't carry the load by himself.
Sometimes I wonder why did I go to college if things were going to be this hard? All my life I've been told that a college education was the path to success. I don't feel really successful right now. We are barely making ends meet. Rent, daycare, and gas/food are our biggest expenses right now. We are cutting off our basic cable and internet and our cellies are next. Please talk to Daycare Voucher Jesus too, because if we don't get that, The Baby and I will be spending lots of time together at home. Even though I am feeling really sad right now, I know that You care for us and that You are providing for us. I just wanted to get this off of my chest. Amen.

(((9dstpm))) I know how you feel. Sometime I wonder what the purpose is, when you do everything that you are supposed to do and it still doesn't seem to come together.

Dear Ignorant Misc. Persons,
Sooo you liked me until you found out I liked you then you wanted to be stank toward me until I didn't like you anymore, then you start bending over backward to be nice to me so I'd like you again? All of you have that same reasoning? Y'all need Christ.

Dear Unhappy co-worker,
You have been on my mind a little too much this weekend. It is time for you to get a grip so that you can stop spewing venom. Your venom is unproductive and makes others lose respect for you. You have ALOT of personal issues that have nothing to do with the job. If you feel that your talent is so high above the menial, mundane job description of what we are paid to do, then make a move and take control of your life.
Telling us that you graduated from XYZ university and have your secondary degree, does not make you better than us, since we all do the same job and are paid roughly the same. Nobody hates on your degrees, so stop hating on our positive attitudes in enjoying the work we do. The job is what it is and THEY ain't changing the game since it has been working out quite, profitably, well.
Perhaps if you were more positive toward management, you could 'get over' (your terminology) like we do. And mind you, we don't 'get over', we just do our jobs...with a smile. Just Sayin'.
From, Your getting impatient co-worker
Clean up the venom, I don't want to hear it on Monday morning

Dear Girl Scout higher ups:
Cookies keep me up at night! When I can sleep, I see lemonades and thin mints.

Dear Sen. McCain's Campaign Workers,
While it is not cool to kiss and tell, your anonymous releases of information about the 'Wasilla Hillbillies' was hilarious.
Good luck in your careers...I have to say, it is not easy to go down on a sinking ship especially when the co-captain, thinks she's the captain and easily confuses the Ivory Coast as a hybrid combination of soap brands.
Good Luck on getting new campaign jobs...maybe your talents would be better served with a Democratic campaign next time...NOT.

I know what you mean. I just went to an interview today and was turned down. Maybe this is telling me that I'm overqualified for the job or this was not the job for me and something better is on the way. Whatever it is, I'm still discouraged. It's so much easier to find a job when you have one already. I didn't know it would be this tough.
