dear bff and sista from another mista,

i LOVE you. however please stop calling me at 7 effin 45 in the a.m. to complain about stuff. i really need my mornings to collect myself and set the atmosphere to have a positive day. have you not noticed that the last couple of times when you start on your complain-whine tirade that my 'signal fades out'.... LOL. i'm o.k. if we don't talk in the morning... really! but if you do call, can we try to be pleasant? you're sounding really like a bitter ass broad early in the AM. i can't even imagine how the rest of your day goes if that's how you start it off.

Dear me,

You deserve way better than him. You deserve way better than him. The only reason he called is because he is loosing out and you wanted to teach him a lesson on how you felt when he did his disappearing act. All he had to do was keep calling and visiting you and everything would have been ok. But no, he wanted to disappear and he hasn't see you since you moved back home.

So why I feel so sad?

Soror....I SO FEEL YOU ON THIS! You think you are moving forward then out of no where your 10 steps back! Is finding, keeping and investing in love suppose to be this hard?

Your pep talks are NOT pep talks. I am still hurt, and still praying. Yeah the other party has someone, so quick after our connection was broke. I want to be like Job in all situations, keep my integrity in tact. So, that is my main purpose of wanting to lay out all the truth and build trust. And, also to make sure that if there is hope in the future, to keep it alive.

But how he had responded to me and called me a screwball yesterday...maybe a golden shower on him would have him to wake up....and to have him realize I am a great woman, and he should want to have a great relationship with me.

ETA: his father sent me an email with the TD Jakes sermon powerpoint attachment called "Let's Kiss and Say Goodbye". On top of his son stating that his father was the one telling him that I am crazy. If that wasn't your first impression of me, then why make that assessment now? Something ain't right...I know it ain't but I have been advised to leave it be.

It is time to do the thing.

Ohio new voter registration ends Oct. 5. Early voting begins on Oct. 1. Ohio Alpha bruhs (college and alumni) let's use this time to step up chapter voter registration/turnout efforts and make it happen.

To others in the Greek family, (yeah, I know, I know, you can't do it like the Alphas) you can still do your part.

A call to your county boards of election will have registration and early voting (if applicable) deadline information. Take the information, organize and follow through.

Target neighborhoods where voting is traditionally underrepresented, target senior citizens, and others, who may need rides to the polls.

Whomever is your choice, whatever is your political view, let's begin to make it happen on Nov. 4.

(((NIA)) I am so sending you hugs right now! It so easy to say let go and let God than it is to do when you're in the mist. I have come to realize that I will have to kiss a number of frogs before my "King" finds me. It sounds like God just saved you from a headache and you know that what HE has for us is better than we can ever imagine.
