I met most of my current friends through waitressing actually and through work. I am embarrassed to say that when I first moved down here, I met a few of my guy friends through myspace but I was lucky not to get a creeper... and I don't do that anymore.
It's hard to meet people and I really struggled with it, all my roommates did when they came here (we live like an hour from home).
They say you should try new activities, get involved in a club or sport in the community or something.
