Where's the best place to meet people, especially after college?

I think Myspace seems like a good idea, except that I know that women get hit up by like 10 different guys a day on myspace so I kind of don't want to fall into that ...

Corner sounds interesting, work... I think i'll stay away from that, or be very cautious about dating another woman from work, last one was NUTZOID =(

I met most of my current friends through waitressing actually and through work. I am embarrassed to say that when I first moved down here, I met a few of my guy friends through myspace but I was lucky not to get a creeper... and I don't do that anymore.
It's hard to meet people and I really struggled with it, all my roommates did when they came here (we live like an hour from home).

They say you should try new activities, get involved in a club or sport in the community or something.

Hell, after school I moved around quite a bit...and the real world freakin SUCKS as far as dating goes. College was a fantasy land.

In a (safe) place no one goes but you. I've met a bunch of cute guys through church and in my apartment building, but EVERY STINKIN' LAST ONE OF THEM flirted with me for half a second until they met my (gorgeous) friend. :( She is officially banned from any outings I take where cute guys might be abound.

Man...that sucks for you.

Who you tellin'? *grumble* :rolleyes: Finding a man at work is totally out for me and there's only like 5 guys in my master's program, so I'm fresh outta ideas.

just keep your friend away from the guys, or start going for guys that wouldn't have a chance with your friend =)

Church, i kind of show up right on time, do what it does, and leave, I don't really hang out or anything before or after...

I dunno I think I'm just like out of my game, But good news I went to the area around my old college last night and actually on campus a few times throughout the night, met some girls, hung out with girls I already knew etc, and at least one of them thought I was cute ! woohoo the magic's coming back, i hope...

Lol, right off the bat, I can think of 2 who really have no chance, but they still did an about-face anyway. :rolleyes: I just keep telling myself that God is preparing that special man for me and he's sprayed me with man-repellent so that I won't get distracted by someone who's not "the one." When I do that, it doesn't sting so bad.
