Granted, but then they looked at the tapes again and noticed that the pitcher was cheating so they took away their pennant (right word?) and let the Tigers play it out for the championship.

I honestly don't think they'd take it away, they might just put an asterisk next to it, like the players who take steroids

Granted. Your ex is no longer a psycho, but slowly and surely, you lose your mind, and are forced to undergo a frontal lobotomy by him and his family.
