What's on the Telly This Summer? Suggestions?

I thought from the previews that Starter Wife was going to be a movie. Then, when I flipped it on Saturday, I kept thinking "This is moving awfully slow for a movie". Then, they talked about it being a series, and it all made more sense.

Just a 6 hour mini series although I could see it as a television show even if it is just one season. Not sure if the last 4 hours will be 4 separate episodes or 2 episodes that are 2 hours each.

I actually like that better. I don't really like getting involved in a show that I HAVE TO WATCH every week or however often. That's why I like things like Scrubs. You don't have to be 100% up with every nuiance for it to be funny/entertaining.

My Boys is coming back... I was a little iffy on it when they did the first set of six episodes, but it won me over pretty quickly. Well written, likable characters, (including a black best friend who's more than a token) and overall pretty cute.

i will be starting back up with Rescue Me and Hell's Kitchen...very excited about both of those!

Hell's Kitchen is just too.... extreme for me. Something about it is just too damn crazy.

I've been meaning to get into Rescue Me. Is there a DVD set of the first season?

It's very intense, lol... I could feel my blood pressure rise when I watched it. Which is probably why I don't anymore.

i think so...i got into it because i am a HUGE nip/tuck fan and Rescue Me came on before it.

i watch HK because my fiance is a chef and i looove watching him roll his eyes and talk about how he could beat everyone on the show lol

I can't wait! When I watch CBS now oddly enough I look forward to seeing the commercials because I don't want to miss it when they say the premiere date and time!

I heard Tyler Perry's House of Payne is going to be great. Kudos to Mr. Perry for helping stage actors make that transition to the screen.

I didn't know "Starter Wife" was a book. I just saw the previews (which probably said "From the book Starter Wife", but I wasn't paying that much attention) and thought it would be a good show. Also didn't realize that it was gonna be a short miniseries. I do want to know what happened to her soon to be ex's boss. I'll be a big girl and wait 'til Thursday night.

Read the book last summer -- very good. This was when I was on my Devil Wears Prada, The Nanny Diaries, The Ivy Chronicles, Shopaholics series, etc etc etc kick.
