What's on the Telly This Summer? Suggestions?

Since most of the television shows are on hiatus, what has caught your attention this summer?

My hair dresser's daughter (who has turned into her shampoo girl) turned me on to Passions. They have this storyline where the sista finds out her hubby is on the DL. :o  If I remember to watch it or if I'm at home, I try to catch it.

Other than that, I'm, stumped. There are only 2 episodes left of The Sopranos and after that HBO is getting the ax.

I'll catch:
Bridezillas
The Starter Wife

So You Think You Can DANCE? => Best show of the summer hands down!

Check out Army Wives on Lifetime. Tonight is the season premiere and so far I like it. It is an Army version of Desperate Housewives but with heavier issues, IMO.

Forgot that was coming on. I wanted to see it, but it'll be on again. I watched "Starter Wive" on USA Thursday night, and it was on ALL.DAY.LONG. Saturday on USA. I think I'll be keeping up with that as well.

And of course "The 4400"!!!!!!! Can't wait!

Passions is going off on NBC sometime this month (I know by July 4th), but will reappear on DirecTV by September.

Army Wives is filmed in the beautiful city of Charleston, SC. :D:D

One show that also premiered tonight I was excited about was The Next Food Network Star (for those who don't know, I'm addicted to Food Network). But after the premiere, I'm .

Creature Comforts (the US version) starts tomorrow on CBS. It's by the people who make Wallace and Gromit and put real voices and conversations to aminated characters. BBC America sometimes shows the British version

And there's always BB8! And Big Love will be back soon.

Yes I caught Starter Wife during its one episode marathon Saturday afternoon. Very good and glad they are sticking to the book for the most part and enhancing the one friend's story line as well.

Army Wives -- Excellent debut, looking forward to next week. I hope this season ends just as DH returns to make a smooth transition.

I said this in another thread, somewhere, but oh well...

I thought from the previews that Starter Wife was going to be a movie. Then, when I flipped it on Saturday, I kept thinking "This is moving awfully slow for a movie". Then, they talked about it being a series, and it all made more sense.:) I think I'll continue watching it, I like it so far. And LOL that Debra Messing still has a gay best friend.

Just a 6 hour mini series although I could see it as a television show even if it is just one season. Not sure if the last 4 hours will be 4 separate episodes or 2 episodes that are 2 hours each.

I actually like that better. I don't really like getting involved in a show that I HAVE TO WATCH every week or however often. That's why I like things like Scrubs. You don't have to be 100% up with every nuiance for it to be funny/entertaining.

BTB, Army Wives comes on tonight at 8PM EST on Lifetime.

My Boys is coming back... I was a little iffy on it when they did the first set of six episodes, but it won me over pretty quickly. Well written, likable characters, (including a black best friend who's more than a token) and overall pretty cute.

Hell's Kitchen is just too.... extreme for me. Something about it is just too damn crazy.

I've been meaning to get into Rescue Me. Is there a DVD set of the first season?
