I still remember when a few of the Chi Omegas moved the truck of one of our brothers while at a party. This was about 9 years ago now (wow!). We were all at a Chi O/Lambda Chi get-together and one of the Chi Os managed to take our brother's keys out of his pocket without him realizing it (It was the 90s, so very loose pants were in style). They moved his truck about a block away and he was completely dumbfounded when he went outside! I have to admit they really got one over on us that night.
I also remember one night after a UTEP football game when one of our guys had moved his truck from the tailgate party spot to the ZTA house. He went to the game and forgot all about it. Hours later he showed up at the post-game party crying about how his truck was stolen. Honky shouted out "You moved it to the Zeta house, you idiot" or something along those lines. Hilarious stuff.

An oldie...but a goodie...
This used to be a old prank against sororities, but with the right twist, a fraternity can be made a victim....best, this is not traceable...
A certain number of brothers at a not-to-be named campus chapter, had a "thing" for a certain type of periodicals...in said periodicals, were subscription cards with the magical "bill me later" check box. These cards were also easy to take to a copy shop....
Amazingly, a month later....said periodicals showed up in the mailboxes of each and every member of a sorority at the same campus - all individually named. No idea how that happened, but it sure was fun to watch the reactions after the mailman had left said house.
Did I mention it also took MONTHS for the subscriptions to be cancelled? Oh, and that different periodicals of the same nature kept taking their place?
Just a fuzzy memory of the past....not that I participated in it myself, mind you....just something I think I heard from the friend of a friend of a friend...

Along similar lines, we used to go to McDonald's and fill out job applicatons in other people's names. For How did you hear about this job? we would put things like "Grimace spoke to me in a dream."
I did that to my room mate, and he actually got the job and worked there for about a year.

Sounds like my old chapter - of the eight houses I recall LXA occupying when I was in college (oh, yeah, we moved a LOT - every semester if not more) - only three are still standing - one became the LXA house again after recolonization for a year (now a rental home), another is a private residence, the third is an apartment building. The others, but one, are now beautifully landscaped parking lots: the last is a new apartment building.
Sad.

Actually, if you'd look at most of the houses my chapter has had, you'd probably think, "That would make a nice parking lot."
We had some real hell holes, although I'm not sure we knew it at the time.
Our first house was affectionately known as "The Love Dump." Another was called "The House of Pain."

The last house LXA lived in here at WCU was turned into an apartment complex (It was really nice). Before we re-colonized here at WCU I had the oppurtunity to live there but moved somewhere else... kinda wish I had moved in there, hindsight is always 20/20 lol.

We did have two other "unofficial" houses, so to speak.
One is now a dump of a house on a corner near the university... well, it was a dump when we were always there too. The place looks like it needs to be condemned.
The other is a very flat-looking house around the corner from University Dr. It looked vacant last time I passed it. That place had the nastiest bathroom I'd ever seen. I remember at a party when the sink was accidentally ripped off the wall.

One minor prank I should mention happened around 1998. The TKEs were new on campus and were heavily recruiting. They were rushing on the 1st floor of the Union right below a bridge on the 2nd floor that connects Unions East and West. The SAEs took this opportunity to dump buckets of water on the TKEs from the bridge and shouted "Welcome to UTEP!" afterward. I was IFC secretary at the time and the SAEs weren't punished at all by the then IFC president (a SigEp).
The sad conclusion to that story -- TKE was off campus by 2000. They rushed heavily and had over 100 members to begin with, then watched them disappear one-by-one.
SAE was removed around 1999 after two members were charged with rape at a party in Albuquerque, NM. Even though many people didn't like them, they were still a strong organization until that point. Ten years later they still aren't back despite having an incredibly strong local alumni base.
SigEp was removed a few years after that. They were on campus only around 6 or 7 years themselves. They also were huge right out of the gate, then lost a bunch of people by 2000. I still remember the bed race controversy in 2001 or so. They looked like they were going to be big after narrowly beating us in Greek Week 2000.

I hear UTEP is actually building up a larger greek system again. Apparently there are now PhiDelts on campus.
In a span of less than a decade the university lost Phi Tau, TKE, SigEp, Kappa Sig, SAE, Sigma Lambda Beta, Chi Omega, Kappa Delta Chi and had many failed attempts at starting local organizations.
It's never good to lose so many organizations, but I can't say most of the chapters that were pulld didn't deserve it.

I like that one. On a similar track, if you can get email addresses from your mark you can sign them up for all sorts of crazy stuff. Only mildly annoying, but can be worth a few laughs. On a similar track, you can sign your mark up for something outlandish (conspiracy magazines, Soldier of Fortune, gay porn or fashion magazines come to mind here, tailor to your individual needs) to be delivered by mail.
