Prank Ideas
Im new to the forum and was wondering if anyone had any prank ideas for a rival fraternity. We are currently locked into a war with the Betas. Legends from back in the day, something you pulled off recently? anything would help.

Pranks
I don't know what campus your chapter is located on, but pranks are being increasingly a source of problems for campuses and their disciplinary systems. As a result, pranks that result in damage or destruction of property, breaking the peace or disruption are, and should be treated by the campuses, as both violations of the appropriate code of student conduct. Additionally, any house corporation whose property is damaged, trespassed on or destroyed should report these incidents as crimes.
There is no available excuse for "boys will be boys" or "it is just a fraternity thing" when property is damaged or destroyed, or if people are injured. The escalation of these little feuds frequently can result in both chapters be subjected to campus discipline.
I would advise that you understand the potential consequences before your chapter does anything else with respect to the Betas.

I remember this one time the guys from the Beta house pranked us. So in return we snuck into their house at night one January and kidnapped them while we were dressed in black and wore ski masks. We threw them into a rented U-Haul truck and took them to a frozen pond. After stipping them naked and submerging them individually beneath the frozen ice, we emailed pictures of them shivering in pain while on the ice to their parents with a ransom note for $50,000.
Boy, after we got out of prison we laughed and laughed and laughed. Everytime me and my brothers report to our probation officers we always remember what a great prank it was.
...just kidding.

This is not a very good idea J.P. and suggest you do not do it.
It can grow into something that you cannot control.

My chapter used to, and still do pull pranks on some of our several greeks on campus. We once stole one of the SAE lions and buried it at one of our former chapter houses backyard. We stole the "A's" off of the Zeta and SAE houses once. I once stole the ZTA composite from their house, my girlfriend at the time was their president. We put a dead fish in the XO house air conditioner, stunk up their house for awhile, but they're gone now on campus . We once made T-Shirts that said Kappa Sig Alum and gave them to bums close to school to wear, funny and noticed by a lot of people. We used to tippi other people's houses. Just some ideas. I have even heard of using liquid nails and glueing their front door shut. Just a few off the top of my head. Other than that we would sleep with their girlfriends, that always pisses them off. Ah, the good ole days!!

Now that's got class. However, that's the only one of these I've seen that I would even remotely endorse. In the cool light of reason, I thank God that we never went to jail for some of the things we did in college. For that reason, I won't post any of them here.
Pranks like this are the kinds of things you do to your own brothers. You don't play jokes on people who don't like you. If you're really in a "war" with the Betas, the whole thing is liable to culiminate in a public brawl somewhere, with people sent to the hospital (as also happened to my chapter once upon a time.)
If you really don't get along with another fraternity, the best thing you can do is leave them alone. In know that's boring, but it's smart, too.
And whatever you decide to do, remember that anything that does actual damage to someone's property, be it house, car, CD collection, whatever, is not a joke.

Well Honky, you left out the time when a bunch of us nearly got caught by the police for blasting the Chi Omega and ZTA houses with tortillas, shaving cream, an stolen empty keg, powder from fire extinguishers (no telling where THOSE came from) and flour. I think that was in 1997, right before you joined.
We also were responsible for taking SAE's "victory banner" after they won Greek Week in 1997 (the FINAL time they ever won -- thank you!). I was notoriously disliked by the Kappa Sigmas in 1996 because I was seeing one of their girlfriends.

Somehow, though, the SAE lions always seemed ready for a new coat of paint. Electric pink and lime green were our favorites. The lions at Cal had been painted so many times that they barely resembled lions anymore.

That is so true, I believe painting the SAE lions is a tradition everywhere, cause I've seen it done on so many campuses.

As pointed out in other posting, most of what "you" have done is now rather looked down apon. Just the word "stole" makes the action rather poor in the current state of RM by schools, towns and Nationals.
Yes, some parts of the "Good Old Days" were good. Some rather not.
Yes, I have tales and even photos to prove both sides.
BTB-can we have our Lion back NOW

Ours was painted and even Tarred and Feathered.
We just incorporated burning it into one of our invite only formal events.
Not too sure if that could be done today.

I know, sounds like fun! To bad the SAE chapter is gone here. As matter of fact, no one on our campus has a house or lodge anymore. City had all former chapter houses zoned differently so that they couldn't be greek houses anymore even if they wanted to comeback.
