http://www.squarebooks.com/faulkner/chron.php

This is a chronology of Faulkner's life from one of the bookstores in Oxford. They have him joining SAE in 1919, which would have been when he was at Ole Miss.

It seems like they'd be up on their Oxford history.

So maybe he was a regular member.

ETA: why do I only see my errors when I see them quoted? Why can't I proofread my own comments the first time? Argh.

Thank you for your fine bit of research.
This would seem to confirm that Mr. Faulkner was a Brother:"1919
Visits Memphis and New Orleans; poem "L'Apres Midi d'un Faune" published in the New Republic; enters University of Mississippi as special student; joins fraternity (Sigma Alpha Epsilon); short story "Landing in Luck" and poems published in student newspaper The Mississippian. "

What is really cool, is that there are so many Members of GLOs who have for years are well known and have distinguished themselves because of being Members of GLOs!

I will not go into the LXA list as We were only Founded in 1909, but with so many to be named!

But, from checking web sites and the many posts, it just goes to show, WE are important in many ways!

I'm wondering if Neil Armstrong had several wives, or his one wife belonged to eight or ten sororities?

In any event, I'm surprized Apollo XI ever got off the ground with that many sorority badges on board.
I am going to clear up this moon thing once and for all-
Neil Armstrong's first wife Janet Shearon Armstrong is an Alpha Chi Omega (from the Purdue chapter.) He did not take her badge into space with him, he took his Phi Delt badge, but did not leave it on the moon.

Perhaps wife #2, Carol Held Knight is a Tri Delt?
Even if she is, he and Janet did not divorce until 1994 and I don't think that Neil has been on the moon in the meantime, so no Tri Delt badge on the moon either.
