I even see Black people at The Plantation bar, which some find ironic. We affectionately call it The Plant and the only problems there are when some sings some tragic karaoke.
WTH???? LMAO

Yeah, I"m talking about American black women. Please don't tell me you see AMERICAN black people at the Plantation Bar.

Yes actually there are American Black people at the Plant almost every time I go there. My job held a function there and I sat with my friend, and she is a Black woman from Alabama. We're going to have another event there in the future. Come to think of it I don't think the African students go there, just the American ones. A writer for the student paper published a run down of local bars and said something along the lines of don't go to the Plantation if you're Black and the owners pulled all their advertisements. Most people call in the Plant, and like I said, this town is accepting and if someone did something out of line anywhere the staff and patrons wouldn't tolerate it. I know my boss was on a softball team 30 years ago, and the Plant was their sponsor so I think the name recognition is why it hasn't changed.
