When you are an adult living on your own and having a full time job with a salary, you may be able to contribute more to an organization in ways that you would not have been able to do when you were an undergraduate of the average undergraduate age.
I hope you understand that many GC PNAMs do not at all fit into your hypothetical categories. It seems that many PNAMs who show up here and post their story have had unsuccessful college recruitments and their "dream" never died. When they post about how they want to get in contact with four different groups but they don't know a single soul in any of them, it raises huge red flags for many other GC posters.

It would be nice if most GC PNAMs were never able to join as an undergrad because of parental disapproval/money/no sororities on campus, but that is not what occurs on this forum. Women come on and say "I rushed three times as an undergraduate and always got dropped by philanthropy night but I always wanted to be Greek and omgz now I have another chance!!!" In your post, you failed to mention this incredibly common scenario...and that kind of situation is specifically what angers the anti-AI members.
