My children, who also will not probably look too Anglo, might have Spanish name - but ones that can be Anglicized (Alejandro = Alex). That way both sides of the family can pronounce it right.  |
Agree with Kathy on this one. 6 years of going to school in Bronx taught me that Jennifer and Jessica are quite popular there. (Or Yennifer and Yessica if you prefer.) We actually had a girl in my HS who's legal name was Yennifer.
