				Rush at Pitt

I started this thread in hopes that someone will bite and give us a Rush Thread!
I stopped in at the ADPi chapter last night, where they were "busy lots to do" prior to Recruitment starting on Thursday. fire1977 seemed to be doing the same with DPhiE!

So far, while about 300 women stopped in at the Informational Meeting (I forget what it's called - "Meet the Greeks"?), only 95 have officially signed up!! With 11 sororities competing for those women, we're looking at a seriously low quota - unless something changes fast!!!!

 Any other news?

i'm hoping more sign up! pitt people tend to do things last minute....
they had something in the quad today, it was pretty pathetic from what my roommate (who's still an active collegiate KD) told me.

a pitt rush thread would be SO interesting to read!

It's a shame that there's not a sympathetic ear at the Pitt News who could have someone go through rush "undercover", so to speak. But sympathetic to Greeks & Pitt News rarely go in the same sentence... *sigh*

Does anyone know of any legacies who would be willing to post? The ones I've talked to won't.

Was there a "Meet the Greeks" thing on Sunday? I drove past some grassy place (don't know what it's called.....it's on Forbes, down from the museum)......anyways, there were a TON of girls wearing letters. (I swear I saw every set of sorority letters except KD. Then I saw a giant horde of them. ) There were a few guys wearing letters too, and I can't help but wonder what genius planned a recruitment event on the day of a Steelers game.

Ok girls...you convinced me....I'm going through Pitt's rush undercover. Forget the honeymoon. We need a good story on here. LOL

I don't think there was anything Sunday since we were still in "workweekend" until 7pm.
So yes Honeychile- we were hard at work, I was so tired by the time you stopped I could barely form sentences. It was fun though and they are going to do so well again this fall!!

We have a legacy but.....she's not a direct legacy to our chapter so I don't know anyone who could write. Oh well, maybe next year!

I agree with Dani though, they always seem to come through at the last minute!!!

 Can't wait til Thursday night!!!

I talked to the Panhel pres today she said they are about 50 behind usual. Don't know how that stacks up against past years. More sororities are making good use of snap bids and COB so maybe that will finally come into a greater effect this year.
Sunday was the Greek week kick off all those girls and guys were playing volleyball and the like. Greeks were also running around south O trying to finish a scavenger hunt. (I was in that group)

It was fun as always. I can report about the craziness at the next Pitt Greek chat gathering.

				Just in case you're wondering...

For the outsider, wondering how both lists were in the same order, but not alphabetical: all but two of the sororities at Pitt are in Amos Hall (by floor)
 2 - Delta Zeta
 3 - Delta Phi Epsilon
 4 - Chi Omega
 5 - Alpha Epsilon Phi
 6 - Sigma Sigma Sigma
 7 - Kappa Delta
 8 - Sigma Delta Tau
 9 - Delta Delta Delta
 10 - Alpha Delta Pi

Then, Theta Phi Alpha is in McCormick Hall, and Kappa Kappa Gamma's house was grandfathered in.

Maybe a Rho Chi could talk someone into posting?

Actually, you would have wasted your time looking because Pitt has the poopiest greek website you could imagine. I don't even know if the sororities are listed!
