You could do a service project to benefit RMH with the collegians. In Orlando, we always decorate RMH together for the December holidays.

Co-host a Mother-Daughter Brunch with the chapter for Family Weekend at the University. Choose a classy venue, have some chapter members and alumnae provide entertainment, do the Mother Pin ceremony and maybe have a few door prizes. Charge for this event. Proceeds can benefit the RMH fund.

Memphis co-sponsors a golf tournament that supports RMH. The collegians and alumnae work together to plan it and involve local media. It has won some great recognition from ADPi!

Other ways to involve the collegians and alum: see what the chapter needs during recruitment. Alumnae can staff refreshment tables and behind-the-scenes needs. Alumnae can also donate meals to the chapter during recruitment as well as supplies they might need, especially for Philanthropy Day. For example, an AA in New Mexico sewed teddy bears for a CA chapter to use as part of their craft on that day at recruitment.

Plan a garage sale. Alums and collegians donate their unwanted stuff and help promote/staff the sale. Proceeds benefit RMH and possibly a chapter scholarship.

Call the chapter philanthropy chair. See what activities she has planned for the fall. Possibly you can arrange for alumnae to attend and participate, too!

Write letters to the chapter corresponding sec'y to be read aloud at the chapter meeting, wishing them luck on finals, congrats on their new alpha class, to have a great summer, etc. Reach out and remind them the AA is there. It helps for the AA to have a web site and a newsletter, too, that the collegians can also receive. Host a luncheon for new members before they take their Initiation Exam to introduce them to the idea that ADPi is for a Lifetime. Co-host a TME for alum and collegians.

Good luck!
