No, Mary didn't really (in interviews etc) say she had family problems (other than her dad). Maybe since she's the "new" Mary, maybe all of her old ways are out the door, including her family (their ways)?

Our condolences go out to Singer Betty Wright. Wright's son, 21 year old Patrick Parker, was killed on Christmas Eve. Parker was shot and killed in South Florida. He was one of the famed singer's five children. Wright, who is best known for the classics Tonight Is The Night and Clean Up Woman, was away on cruise at the time of his death.

Oprah Winfrey is going to make sure her best friend has a man. Since her divorce a few years ago, Gayle King has had no luck on the dating scene. But now, here comes Oprah to the rescue! Oprah has played matchmaker with Gayle and Gospel Singer BeBe Winans. BeBe is a recent divorcee, and Oprah thinks he's the perfect match for her best friend. The fight is on over the will of the late Rosa Parks. 13 nieces and nephews have come forward to contest the will. The civil rights pioneer died earlier this year, and she left her will in the charge of a longtime friend and a retired judge. It was Parks' refusal to move out of her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus 50 years ago that changed the course of history. The 13 nieces and nephews are claiming it's not about the money, but it's about the legal right to use her name, photos and other property. They feel they will do her legacy justice.

There will be no more celebrity judges on American Idol. Season five kicks off January 17th on Fox, and this year promises better talent and more cutthroat competition. Producers felt the celebrity judges didn't add anything to the show.

Debbie Rowe is back. The ex-wife of Michael Jackson is claiming the King of Pop abducted her kids when he whisked them out of the country to join him in Bahrain. Michael is currently being investigated by the Department of Justice for lying to get his children new passports. In other Michael news, it looks like "Uncle Michael," as in Uncle Michael Jackson, will be appearing in a reality TV show after all. It's going to be a tough season behind the scenes for this top-rated reality TV show. The Judges are tense, and two of them feel as though they are being mistreated. The two Judges are upset that the third Judge, who has a reputation for being mean and nasty, is getting mega millions while they get paid peanuts. They feel they make a major contribution to this hit show. So why is their pay so low? This TV show makes millions for the Network, but the perks for the two have been slashed to accommodate the mean Judge. Will these two Judges stay after this season?

Did Quenten get tired of Brandy's drama or Brandy's mother's drama? I compare her to Jessica's daddy (can't stay out of their lives for nothing). I figured them getting back together had something to do with his brother's death. Personally, I think he was better off with Soror Rudy, oops, Soror Keisha.

And why is Debbie Rowe fighting over Michael taking the kids oversees? Didn't she gave up her parential rights years ago? And 3T (Tito's sons) were more popular in Europe that they were in the states, and that was about 10 years ago. And they are probably about, 30 now?

I thought Tracey was with Bryce Wilson from Groove Theory.

Dear Eddie: Please stay away from Robin. Just ask Mike Tyson. Stay with Shawn. She seems very nice.

Is mistress number three becoming bride number two? According to some friends of the ex-wife of a popular television personality, that's exactly what's happening. Apparently said TV talent had been cheating on his wife of more than a decade with women in just about every time zone. When his wife discovered his three extramarital affairs -- not to mention that he'd paid for one mistress's nose job -- she immediately filed for divorce. Now everyone is wondering how long it'll take the mistress with the engagement ring to find out about his newest fling.

Is Bill Maher ready to give up his bachelor status? Several friends of HBO's resident political pundit say that Maher could be on the verge of proposing to his girlfriend Karrine Steffans.

Steffans, the (shall we say) sexually generous dancer who penned the best-selling memoir "Confessions of a Video Vixen," met Maher in April, and the two have been dating ever since.

Maher has been adamant that he'd never get married and vowed never to date seriously again after being sued last year for $9 million in palimony by an ex-girlfriend, flight attendant Coco Johnson. But he and his new girlfriend were recently spotted shopping for rings at Tiffany's in Beverly Hills, and there has even been talk of the couple writing a sex-and-relationship book together.
