I am glad that you wrote them. It is important that they know the situation so that they can learn how to deal with such issues in the past. It is important for them to respond even with a letter to you, But most importantly would be to make sure that they are checking in on that Chapter and others where these types of issues can occur so that they are not repeated again.
(Perhaps a CC to someone in the Chapter/Alumni Chapter in the area may be doable, if with your judgement it does not reek havoc!)
I admire your courage and the way that you have overcome this and have forgiven others.
