maybe this one should be moved to "weird rush stories" ...
A group of us were drinking and talking about our college days and tales of how we decided where we went, when one woman starts telling us of why she had to leave her first college. She was going through rush her freshman year at a big midwestern university with a huge greek presence and was down to preference round at one of the top sororities, to which she happened to be a legacy. At one point in the pref ceremony, the PNMs took a coin (or something?) and threw it into a fountain to make a special pref wish. Right as she was bending over to toss her coin (?), she let a huge one rip. She did not get a bid from that house, and within the week, she was known all over campus as "That Farting Girl." She transferred at the end of that semester and her mother made her go see a lower GI specialist.
