It's the DVD rental machine in McDonalds. It tends to have kind of cheesy movies IMO, but it's a dollar a night so hard to beat.

You all are silly. Here's my seemingly random PSA:

Movie theater food sucks. Overpriced candy bars, drinks of sugar, and tubs of lard. I've seen the movie theater salt, butter, Old Bay and other seasonings that patrons can put on their own stuff. Yucky.

If you insist on munching during a movie (which I don't think is a necessity because if you're hungry...eat real food before or afterwards...but most people aren't hungry it's just a habit to munch while watching TV, but oh well) bring your own snacks. I usually make a point of bringing a healthy snack with me like an apple or some dark chocolate. Other people bring their own candy because it's cheaper. When we were little, folks used to bring entire meals from home to the dollar theater. Containers of chicken and stuff. LOL.

At some movie theaters I've been too, they've had the powdery salt in different flavors too. Yummy.
I don't eat microwave popcorn. I'm talking about the other kind, the kind you make yourself.

The thought of someone eating a bucket of chicken in a movie theater cracks me up, not sure why, just such an absurd image I guess.

Wow. It's different posting on GC during the day. I don't get a chance to do this anymore.

I haven't been to a dollar show since I was a kid.

I always see what interest me when it's a new movie, and usually I don't see a movie twice unless it's a good movie about exotic cars, which is rare. I generally use my home theater system to play my 360. I'm not a big home movie fan.

Now, when I do go see an old movie, to me it's more relaxing going to the drive in. Folding seats and hatchbacks make all the difference in the world at a drive in. A couple of pillows, a blanket, bug spray, and food from home or usually a bucket of KFC works great.

ETA: Since I took the day off and have the rest of the day to myself, I guess I'll go see what's playing today.

How does coconut oil have any cholesterol at all? It's pretty high in saturated fat, but it can't possibly have a lick of cholesterol. It's also going to have nearly the same number of calories as any other oil.

That's a hilarious image but it was usually tupperwared. Still hilarious because you can smell that it isn't crappy theater food.

I might go to 7-11 for snacks or, if I'm really hungry, a drive thru for a fresh sandwich or tacos and just shove them in my bag. I'm pretty famous for my "movie theater bag." It also came in handy on gospel choir trips--I once fed 5 sopranos, 3 altos, and the reverend from my blue bag. It was like Jesus touched it before I loaded up. There's a useless piece of trivia for you.

Other than the fact that I could get a full tank out of 10 bucks, this is the only other thing that makes me miss my first car. I just got the best flashback of me and my best friend in my trunk with the hatch up watching I, Robot.

Speaking of movies. I forgot to mention that I went to see Journey to the Center of the Earth last weekend. It was really good. There's also a 3D version too. I want to see that one sometime this week, if not, this weekend.

ETA: After I saw the the regular showing, I could tell the 3D one would have been better. I didn't go because I try to avoid 3D movies. I just always feel silly sittng in a movie theater wearing strange looking glasses.
