#2 we used to have a dollar theater near my parents home, now its a church or salvation army or something. i miss it soooo much. don't think there are any more dollar movies around this way, but the theater near my house (not a major chain) has $5 tuesdays or something.

I love going to the movies and I hate paying $8.50 for a ticket. If it's a must-see-now movie, I'll pay full price, though if I can, I'll go to a matinee where it's $6.50.

Otherwise, I wait for it to come to the $1.50 theater.

And I rarely get popcorn at the movies, so I really don't care what kind of salt it has on it.

Why the hell are you going to make this huge deal about salt, seriously, get your head out of your ass and welcome to the real world. They are already doing you a huge favor offering you a movie at $1.00, you can't even rent a DVD for that cheap that I know of. If it bothers you that much do like every other good movie goer in america and pack some in your purse.

For the record, I had no idea this type of mysterious salt existed, and I could really care less.

We have $1.00 movies and on Tuesdays its $.50. Woohoo!!

It is a little dirtier than the other movie theaters, but I guess that comes with the territory. I like it because the food is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much cheaper than @ the 'regular' theaters (probably 50% cheaper).

The movies aren't all that bad either, they usually show up @ the $1.00 movies right before they go out on DVD.

I can't believe movie prices now. I remember coming to GC back in what? '05 and people kept talking about how they would spend $10 on 1 ticket, and I kept thinking "well thank God ours is only $5" and now our movie tickets are $10+. Its ridiculous.

Luckily they opened up a new theater @ our local strip mall where the movies are only $5 and the food is hecka cheap. Hopefully it will stay that price for a while. I hate paying $6.50 for nacho, $7 for popcorn and $5 for a soda.

It's the DVD rental machine in McDonalds. It tends to have kind of cheesy movies IMO, but it's a dollar a night so hard to beat.

Nathaniel, I'm not making a huge deal out of anything. You are. Why are you so mad about it? Seriously. Because I like that kind of salt on my popcorn, I have my head in my ass?

I could care less about the price, but I'm not subjecting myself to a movie theater that smells.

I know what you're talking about on the salt, you're right it is different. I think it might be a different salt (i.e. different metals) but it def. doesn't taste the same.

I like the dollar theatre sometime, they show fight-club once a year but I usually miss it.

I knew there was someone on here who knew what I was talking about. Exactly. The regular table salt doesn't taste right on popcorn.

When I make popcorn at home, I sometimes put regular table salt on it. And it tastes good to me. The rest of the time I put parmasean cheese on it, which is better.

If you're talking about mircrowave popcorn, I don't use salt on that. I don't think it needs any. But then again I burn most of the popcorn I try to pop.

At some movie theaters I've been too, they've had the powdery salt in different flavors too. Yummy.

I don't eat microwave popcorn. I'm talking about the other kind, the kind you make yourself.
