My whole family is just thrilled. Now my younger daughter said "Gee I guess I'm a legacy now!"

I can't wait to hear all the bid day details!

Sadly, I missed her call (at the gas station) but it was too cute...the whole message:

"Mom, guess were I am?...I'm sitting in my new HOUSE (House at the top of her lungs). What a nut, a happy nut, but a nut! Like scrapcat, I can't wait to hear all about Bid Day.

My daughter called with all the bid day updates: The girls went to the huge (her words) gym at the school (inclimate weather). The houses lined up on one side, pnms on the other. The pi chis did their reveal and ran to their houses then the pnms were called to "JOIN YOUR HOUSE!" My daughter said she ran crying over the the girls! She got lots of hugs. Next the group walked over to the house where they played a "getting to know you game" and had a bbq.

She said she got "tons of gifts!" She was quite breathless and obviously having the time of her life.

Phew.

scrapcat, I'm jealous! I can't wait to hear from my girl. Her Grammie is thrilled...she was Delta Gamma at Iowa and really wanted my daughter to join a sorority-she knew she'd love it.

Vamom11, I think your D is where my D's former teammate is a student. This girl just pledged DDD and there is another hs teammate who is a sophomore TriDelt at that chapter as well.

I never did get a call, but I did get a very long email. She had a blast on Bid Day and LOVES her sisters. The first meeting is tonight and there's a retreat this weekend. We sent her a bouquet of pink carnations to say congratulations, but I still can't wait to talk with her in person. My 5 year olds had a very happy teacher today (-:

The flowers were a great idea... gee I wish I'd thought of that. My daughter has her first meeting tonight. They are "speed dating" with the entire house as a get-to-know-you activity. Fun. Oh to be young again...

By the way I also work with 3-5 year old special ed kids!
