Dear little Brother,

You are 16. We (mom, dad, and I ) are really trying to understand WTF is going on with you. Please stop talking back to our parents. When I was your age I got popped in the mouth for that kind of stuff. You are following your 'friends' and I am sick of it. Do not tell me what you are going to do when you have children, because you do not know how you will behave when certain events arise. You are being a huge pain in the rear!! We love you, but if you keep this up mom will probably put up in the hospital.

Let's get it together....please.

Please help my family. My brother is making my mothers stress level too high and health consequences are a result. It has been a hard couple of years with him, but I know that all things are possible.

Dear 2007

Thankfully you have come and gone. I had to leave a few things with you and don't be bringing them back up please. There is a reason why they need to stay in 07. You created them so you keep them. It could have been better but I survived.

Dear 2008

So far you have started out on a good foot for the new year. Let's keep this momentum going and hopefully the AKA's won't be the only ones celebrating in 2008.

. Going from 0 job interviews to 2 in 2 days I am ever so grateful. So let's keep it going! Thank you Lord from whom all blessings flow! I am still trying to grow in grace so I thank you for the journey so far, good and bad.

2007,
You showed me how love can have you high one minute and drop u down to below sea level the next. And through it all, I still want to give my love to someone who isn't deserving. I know that I have to go through some frogs to get to my prince that you have for me! But in '08 can you take the desire away from me! ETA: 2007 brought some kick arse friends that I know will be there for me 'til the end!!!

I am letting it all go! I have adopted Just Fine as my theme song and I will not put anyone's needs or wants in front of my NEEDS and WANTS. I strive to continue to knock out debt, save, and have a closer relationship with G-O-D!

Ok, 2007 was a good year, with some great and not so great things to have happened. 2008 is starting out rather interesting and we need to remember all the growth we have sustained and build on them.

I know how easy it is to revert back to our old ways, however, you know that it only leads to more crap. Remember we are the creaters of our own reality!

You really kept me on my toes in all areas and you really tested my patience, understanding, concern for others as well as my ability to not make mountains out of mole hills. My breath was taken away (both in good and bad ways) many times, however those experiences taught me great lessons. Can't really say I am sorry to see you go but

I am back from the test...had a lovely little vacation/pitfalls this weekend...I praise your name that the test for the position was right up my alley! I had to pray to calm down from giggling. I understand you place things in the way for a purpose and a reason... I humbly implore you to show favor and grace and to know that I was working my hardest to show my knowledge of the subject matter for the job... and the land was beautiful!

It is hilarious to me that I have been having a crush on you for 50-11 years and now that we are speaking again, it all came back. The best part is that I just sent you an email saying that and I am TERRIFIED that I will get my face cracked! Please don't think that I am crazy. I really think that your friends words compounded with my lonliness and singledom have gotten the best of me. But, the truly interesting part is that it's simply that I still harbor an old school crush on you. Yes, we've only been emailing for a few months. No, we have even spoken on the phone yet, nor have we seen one another since about 2001, but I think that this could be something. I could be wrong.... It's just ironic that we have so much in common. Is there a reason why we've reconnected after all these years? Is there a reason why I feel like even though we haven't seen one another, none of that matters because our conversations are allowing us to get to know one another without all the superficial external mess getting in the way? Is there a reason why I feel like you could be "The One" that God has for me? Maybe there is a reason that God let us meet so long ago in school and then lose touch, only to come back together after all these years.... I have made so many mistakes in the past with relationships and I am tired of it. I experience the same things with my younger brother who is 24! I know exactly what you're going through. My brother is hard-headed and stubborn and he is constantly testing our unconditional love. I realized, however, that everything we say sinks in and is slowly manifesting in his life but it has to be on HIS terms and not ours. That's not the best way to live life but that's what he's going to do. I have fully given the situation to God and, as a big sister, it was hard to do. But, I know whatever will be, will be.

Hey Sweetie!

I am so proud of you! You did so well last semester. You managed a respectable GPA (3.118) while maintaining several activities. You've done networking, social, and academic things and had fun without sullying you're name. Your downfalls in high school are a thing of the past, let them go now. This semester brings a new room mate, harder classes, and different challenges. Be on time to class, study more, and you don't have to worry. But I have faith in you so I know you'll succeed. Don't worry about the boys and other distractions, those things will come in their own time. Keep moving towards your goal in Spring '09 and OF COURSE the ultimate goal in May 2011. Did I mention I love you?
