I mean, the show GREEK has alot to do with Greek life. And there are alot of parallels.

But we don't have such clear stereotypes, perhaps because my system was bigger.

University of Central Arkansas has fairly clear stereotypes that mirror Greek alot.

By the way: Omega Chi is not the jock fraternity at Cyprus-Rhodes, Lambda Sig is if you know your GREEK. They got every all-state athlete except for beaver last year.

LOL - I don't know why but I guess I never realized you were such a fan of the show.

Haha, it's true. I'm a big fan of Greek. I own the first season somewhere.

Love it.

To the OP: it's a highly stylized view of what greek life is like at some schools. At other schools (SEC, small colleges, etc) it is barely relevant.

In real life Omega Chi would party pretty hard too.

The way rush works in the show, and pledging, is very different from 99% of the fraternities out there. Pledging would be shorter than a year (!) and sometimes much more intense and sometimes much less...depends on the college and specific chapter. At most schools fraternities have an unstructured rush meaning you pick what fraternities you want to rush instead of visiting them all in groups like Rusty did.

Take it with a grain (or a tablespoon) of salt.
